Headache In 8-year-old Children Accompanied By A Bump On The Head?

Docter ,.
1 Answer:
Hello Eka, Thank you for the question.
Headaches are complaints that can occur to anyone. Did this complaint occur at the same time with swelling of the head or has it happened before? Do you mean swollen lumps?
Headaches can be caused by several examples of the following conditions:
tension headache
flu
sinusitis
ear infection
fever
dehydration
and others
Headaches can also be caused by a bump on the head that causes pressure on the scalp. This pressure on the scalp can be felt as a headache. Lumps on the scalp can be caused by epidermoid cysts (fluid-filled sacs formed from skin tissue), sebaceous cysts (fluid-filled sacs formed from oil glands), abscesses.
Please take your child to see a general practitioner. The doctor will ask about this complaint and conduct an examination on your child. From this examination the doctor will determine further treatment. If it really needs to be referred to a specialist, the general practitioner will determine the referral to the right specialist.
You can give paracetamol to relieve headaches experienced by your child. Make sure your child is getting enough rest and suggest consuming water.
Hopefully this information is useful.
