Healing Stitches From Postnatal Sutures?
I just gave birth to get 2 weeks. My genitals are really weird, the relation has healed but the connection is wide open … is that dangerous ???
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
In general, post-partum suture wounds will heal within 2 weeks if there are no specific complications that occur (for example, there are no loose stitches or infection in the wound). To determine whether there really is a loose stitch or other complications in your stitches, it is necessary to examine the wound directly. If you do not feel certain symptoms that interfere (such as increased pain, swelling around the wound suture, smelling liquid discharge or pus from the wound) there is actually nothing you need to worry about. You are certainly still advised to exercise control according to the schedule given by your doctor. If you do experience these symptoms, you can immediately conduct an examination to the obstetrician who treats you.
Regarding exactly when you can have sexual relations, postpartum women are advised to wait until the postpartum period ends and then have sexual relations. The puerperium lasts for 40 days or approximately 6 weeks. You may have sexual intercourse faster if the doctor who examined you has given permission to do so.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
