Heart Palpitations Accompanied By Flatulence After Consumption Of Spicy Foods?
Hello, today I eat noodles that are quite spicy, and make me drink almost a liter of milk at a time. As a result, my stomach aches due to bloating, and my heart keeps beating fast. Is this dangerous?
Heart beating fast more than 100 times / minute is referred to as tachycardia. Tachycardia can be the body's response to certain conditions such as when the body has been active, fever, lack of fluids, or when the body feels pain. Some other conditions that can also cause tachycardia include:
Anemia or red blood cell deficiency Hyperthyroidism Electrolyte disorders Consumption of certain drugs Fear Consumption of caffeine Disorders of the heart rhythm Tachycardia as a normal response will usually disappear spontaneously when the stress factor is removed (for example: with rest, relaxation, drinking enough fluids). However, in tachycardia caused by an illness, it can be accompanied by complaints of shortness of breath, excessive sweating, until fainting. In these conditions the patient needs further treatment by a doctor. Other investigations such as electrocardiography, blood tests, may be needed to establish the abnormalities underlying tachycardia.
In your case, if the heart throbbing sensation lasts only temporarily, it is likely caused by the pain that you feel after drinking too much. If not accompanied by complaints such as chest pain, fainting, shortness of breath, you don't need to worry too much. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
