Heavy Bleeding After Circumcision With The Laser Method?
The doctor’s afternoon, exactly 6 days yesterday, I did the laser circumcision method and yesterday morning I was able to control it and it was okay to not wear a bandage and the stitches were good where the stitches didn’t need to be taken because the stitches were absorbent but this morning I had a short bleeding but it bleeds quite a lot then I went straight away I went to my doctor again and just cleaned it using gauze and then bandaged it again with gauze. He said that he didn’t need to be stitched again. Is it true that if you have a lot of bleeding at the circumcision stitches, you don’t need to stitch it up again?
Thanks for the question. Wound healing can take up to 2 weeks. Wounds that have only occurred for 6 days are still susceptible to minor injuries or friction so they still bleed easily. Circumcision performed on adults does usually have a longer healing time. Bleeding that occurs may be caused by skin rubbing against your underwear. To answer your question, it depends on whether the bleeding is caused by the wound surface being re-opened or simply because the bleeding is seeping outward. If the wound is still closed, then there is no need for re-stitching.
Try the following suggestions:
please continue to use the wound dressing until the bleeding stops and the wound is dry enough
change the wound dressing as recommended by the doctor
keep the wound dressings clean, especially after urinating so that infection does not occur
avoid wearing tights to avoid friction
