1 Answer:

Good afternoon, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com. High blood pressure or hypertension is a condition when blood pressure is greater than equal to 140/90 mmHg. This condition causes a burden when the heart pumps blood throughout the body and is dangerous if left unchecked because over time it can lead to various diseases such as kidney failure, heart failure, and stroke.

There are various causes of hypertension, among which you have already mentioned such as a poor lifestyle by smoking, consuming fatty foods, consuming stimulants such as coffee, coconut milk, high-salt foods and so on. In addition, high blood pressure can also occur due to alcohol, illegal drugs, being overweight or obese, lack of physical activity, and medical disorders such as hyperthyroidism and heart defects. Stress factors, anxiety, lots of thoughts, lack of sleep and the like are factors that are often overlooked but no less important

Apart from all that, there is also what is called primary hypertension, which is a hypertensive condition that occurs just like that without knowing the cause or underlying disease. This diagnosis is made after it has been confirmed that there are no causes above in a person, but hypertension still occurs.

In your case, in treating hypertension, the doctor will usually ask the patient to treat his lifestyle first, then control his blood pressure periodically every month. If every month the drugs are given and the lifestyle is better the blood pressure remains high, the dose will be increased while evaluating the organs that might cause the condition to occur, for example by performing a heart record, ultrasound, thyroid function tests, and so on. . Therefore, our advice is to regularly control your condition to the internal medicine doctor regularly, and convey all the complaints you feel so that the evaluation process can continue.

In the meantime, try not to worry too much about everything, including your own blood pressure. Regular exercise and adequate rest, and drink lots of water. Regularly take your hypertension medication, and regularly control it. So, hopefully answering your question.
