Hello Yaumal Simabua, Thank you for the question.
Thank you for the prayer, sir. May you always be given health,
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infection caused by a new type of corona virus that was discovered at the end of 2019. This virus is easily spread from one person to another by inhaling coughing and sneezing from patients, indirectly by touching the nose, heartburn, or eyes after touching the surface of objects contaminated with this virus, and close contact with sufferers. This virus will cause symptoms within 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Symptoms that appear like the symptoms of the common cold but usually the general symptoms are high fever, coughing, and shortness of breath.
Because it is still relatively new, information about this virus is still limited and is still growing. So far, studies have shown this virus can survive on inanimate objects as well as copper surfaces for 4 hours, cardboard, paper, or cloth for 24 hours, and up to 2-3 days on plastic, steel surfaces, or other hard surfaces. However, there are still many other information that is not yet known including the role of air humidity in influencing the life span of this virus.
To prevent transmission, there are several preventative steps you can take, namely:
always maintain hand hygiene by washing hands regularly with soap and clean water or with a hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol
Do not touch the nose, mouth and eyes before washing hands
always keep the surface of the objects around you clean
stay home and don't travel outside the house unless forced to
avoid people who are sick with coughs and colds
avoid crowds when you leave the house
limit interactions with other people
always keep a distance from others at least 1 meter
I hope this helps.
