How Long Should I Rest During Typhus And Dengue Fever?
Hello, I want to tell you that I’m 17 years old. January 2020 I got dbd according to the puskesmas. I was briefly referred by the hospital because my platelets dropped. My platelet count was 100. In the hospital, I found out that I had types too. I wanted to ask how long should I rest?
Thank you for the question.
Decreased platelet levels in the blood can indeed be caused one of them by dengue fever, or often called the layman with dengue fever. Not only that, actually, platelets can also decrease due to various other types of infections, especially those caused by viruses. In addition, low platelet levels can also occur due to leukemia, side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, liver disorders, aplastic anemia, spinal cord abnormalities, autoimmune disorders, and so on.
Although the cause is different, it is not impossible that dengue fever occurs together with typhoid fever (or often also called typhus). Both of these conditions can cause symptoms that appear more severe. However, as long as the treatment is done quickly and correctly, it is not impossible that both diseases can be cured. In people with good endurance, if the treatment is done properly, within 1-4 weeks the sufferer can generally return to normal activities.
Our advice, consult directly with your doctor or internist who treats you regarding the best treatment steps that need to be done. Some types of drugs, fluid therapy, periodic blood tests, and other therapeutic modalities can be given to your doctor so that your condition improves quickly.
You also need to take a complete rest until the doctor says it is safe for you to return to your normal activities. Not only that, multiply also drink water, eat a variety of foods that are easily digested, not yet too spicy, fatty, and contain a lot of gas. Do not forget, enough sleep, do not think too much, and also do not carelessly take drugs or other ingredients, except those given by the doctor.
Hope this helps ...
