How Long The Fever That Is Experienced In Children When Teething?
.. want to ask, My child is 15 months old, his grahang teeth grow above and below, his daily fussing and heat in my head, it’s been 1 week the heat goes up and down, every night wakes up then, how long the period of feeling pain / fever if the child is teething? Thank you 🙂
Hello Arkan's mother,
Tooth eruption is the process of tooth extraction from the jaw onto the gum surface. Milk teeth in children normally amount to 20 pieces. The first milk tooth to erupt is generally the mandibular incisors at the age of 6-8 months. Molar teeth will generally erupt at the following ages:
First maxillary molars: age 13-19 months Second maxillary molars: age 25-33 months First molars lower jaw: ages 14-18 months Lower second molars: ages 23-31 months The total number of molars of a child's milk will be 8 pieces.
This tooth eruption process will cause the following symptoms in children:
Children often put their fingers or objects in their mouths to bite. Expense more saliva. Children have difficulty eating. Children are more fussy than usual. Gum where the molars will grow to appear swollen and red. Diarrhea. Tooth eruption can cause an increase in body temperature but not to a fever. Fever is an increase in body temperature above 38 degrees Celsius which is measured using a thermometer. There is no definite time limit on how long the eruption of molars until the teeth appear entirely. On average it can take up to 7 days or more.
Some things you can do to deal with symptoms experienced by children while teething are:
Compress diseased gums with clean gauze dipped in cold water Give the child an ice cube to chew, be careful of choking when the child is young Give food for tooth stimulation and chewing like carrots, potatoes, chopped apples so the child does not choke Give toys specifically for biting children Give paracetamol according to the dose to lower body temperature if there is a fever and to reduce pain. If the child has a high fever, does not want to eat at all, there are accompanying symptoms such as coughing, shortness of breath, vomiting, diarrhea continuously, you should take the child to see a doctor. Thus the explanation from me, hopefully useful.
