How To Calculate Fertile Period?
Doc.. In January 2018 I got a phone call on the 25th. And in February it was the 26th. But my menses only came out with a few red spots for 4 days. And the month of March is the 17th. So when is my fertile period in April??? Thank you.
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. The fertile period is one of the phases in the menstrual cycle, where at this time, a woman's chances of getting pregnant will be higher than at other times in the menstrual cycle. For women with regular menstrual cycles, the fertile period usually occurs 12-14 days before the next menstrual period.
But for women with irregular menstrual periods, the fertile period can be obtained in the following ways:
Calculate your shortest and longest menstrual period for the last 8 months
Subtract your shortest period by 18, and your longest period by 11
The number you get is your fertile period
So if your shortest period during the last 8 months is 27 days, 27-18 = 9. And if your longest period is 30 days, then 30-11 = 19. That way, your fertile period is on day 9-19.
In addition to calculating the fertile period, there are several other things that you can use as a sign that you are in your fertile period, including increased body temperature, mucus from the cervix, mild pain in the stomach or back and feeling more excited.
