How To Calculate HPL According To HPHT?
I am pregnant but confused calculating the gestational age. My period is irregular and I remember hpht on March 28, 2019. While I did ultrasound during the first trimester at 12w0d, then it was stated that my gestational age was 14w0d. Which is correct. Explanation please. Thank you
Hello Mutiara thanks for the question to HealthReplies.com.
How to calculate estimated delivery:
If HPHT in April to December:
7th day, 3rd month, +1 year
if in January to March:
date +7, month + 9, year + 0
if the HPHT March 28 2019:
Date: 28+ 7 = 35 -> 30 days added to the next month, so the 5th
Month: 3 + 9 = 12 + 1 month from 30 days originating from the date above -> 13 (because month 13 does not exist so added to the next year to 2020 January
year: + 0 because it's the 13th month, then it's January 2020
so the estimated delivery: January 5 2020
while the gestational age is determined from the HPHT and on ultrasound to find out the gestational age more accurately, but it can also be determined also through the height of the uterus shown by the size of the abdomen in pregnant women.
to find out more about gestational age and estimated delivery, you should immediately consult an obstetrician.
thus hopefully useful
