How To Consume Antibiotics Correctly?
Giving cefadroxil antibiotics in an abscess which then by other doctors given clindamycin. Are the two antibiotics taken until they run out?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
First of all, I want to confirm first, did you go to the doctor 2 times to control the same disease (your abscess)?
If you do control two different doctors for the same disease, chances are the goal of your second doctor to give different antibiotics is to replace the antibiotics given first (Clindamycin is indeed more effective in treating infections of the skin such as skin abscesses than Cefadroxil). Therefore you can stop taking Cefadroxil and deplete your Clindamycin.
Make sure you take control back to your doctor if your abscess has not completely healed after your medication has run out.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
