I want to ask, my knee hurts when I mostly stand up or exercise like running, before I injured my knee 11 months ago the pain still feels now, why? how to overcome it?

1 Answer:

Hello Anggita Dewi,

Injury to the knee can affect the ligaments, joints, cartilage, bursa, fractures, bone shift due to sports injuries, traffic accidents or falls during activities. If the knee injury is not treated properly such as only in the sequence without proper treatment can cause sequelae or decrease the ability and strength of the knee joint.

If you still often experience pain during activity. Several attempts can be made to deal with it such as using a knee protector or knee support for activities such as sports, compressing the affected part with cold or ice compresses, place the leg with a position higher than the knee and can take pain relievers if complaints arise such as paracetamol.

If it often occurs, check with an orthopedic doctor to find out the cause and can be followed by therapy to a medical rehabilitation specialist to get treatment to restore the function and strength of the injured joint. for example like physiotherapy.

May be useful.
