How To Deal With Abrasions On The Skin Of The Foot Due To Sharp Objects?
hello doctor, I’m 16 years old woman. 2 weeks ago I shaved my legs using a razor and accidentally blisters. the wound was small then because after that I had to go using a skirt that was not too long, the wound I gave betadine and then I closed it using bandaid (because I went to school the next day I kept using band aid for a week) initially the wound dried up as usual but gradually over time the wound formed rada sphere bursts red (like a bump). inflamed like an infection but not festering. and this wound becomes very, very itchy. I wonder why and what medicine should I take? thank you..
Hello Anayaad, thank you for asking.
Sores caused by sharp objects have a risk of infection because open wound tissue will be easily infested by microorganisms. In addition, when someone shaves hair on the body, sometimes there is hair that grows into and can not get out of the follicle (ingrown). Ingrown conditions are generally mild and not problematic, but in some cases inflammation can occur which is quite disturbing due to ingrown. In general there are several possibilities that you can experience, including:
wound infection by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites. Infection is not always accompanied by pus formation, but usually there is redness and swelling. In some people the infection can be painful, but it can also itch. Follicel or follicular infection (follicular infection) or carbuncle, commonly called an ingrown boil allergic reaction to wound dressing or other ingredients It never hurts for you to consult a doctor. Let the doctor directly assess the skin abnormalities that occur. Treatment certainly depends on the doctor's diagnosis. The doctor can give oral medication or only topical medication. Meanwhile keep the wound clean. Don't scratch because if scratching arises, it can cause further infections. Hopefully this short answer can help you. Regards.
