Initially only a little but for a long time extends to the surrounding area, what kind of acne is it a nodule or other type, how can I overcome it and I use ointment betason-n, is it effective or not? thank you

1 Answer:

Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to We can understand the concern you feel.

Acne vulgaris (acne) is a chronic / chronic inflammatory disease of the hair follicles and skin oil glands. The location of the skin rash that arises most often is the face, neck, back, and / or chest. Acne is most commonly experienced by adolescents, but can also last for years to 20-30 years.

Acne causes symptoms in the form of bruntus and pimple. In the medical world, skin rashes that appear can be grouped into 2 groups, namely: (1) inflammatory skin lesions (inflammatory), in the form of blackheads; and (2) non-inflammatory skin lesions, in the form of papules, pustules, nodules and cysts.

Without a direct physical examination, it is difficult for us to determine the skin lesions that appear as symptoms of your acne. For proper evaluation and treatment to be carried out, we encourage you to check directly with your doctor or dermatologist, especially if the acne problem does not improve with the use of over-the-counter skin care products,

Acne treatment is adjusted to the degree of severity of the disease. In cases of acne with mild severity, your doctor may give night cream only, and add antibiotic gel if necessary. Meanwhile, in the case of acne with a more severe severity, the doctor may also add the administration of oral medication, in the form of antibiotics or drugs by the way it affects the production of oil glands. Doctors can also consider procedures such as chemical peels or laser therapy to overcome complications, such as acne scars or pockmarks.

The ointment product you mentioned is a branded cream with active ingredients in the form of betamethasone and neomycine sulfate. Each active ingredient is an anti-inflammatory drug of the corticosteroid group and an antibiotic. Both are hard drugs whose use can only be based on prescription and supervision of doctors who deal with patients directly. It is not recommended to use these products arbitrarily because they increase the risk of side effects, especially the resistance (resistance) of germs to antibiotics.

To help overcome the problem of acne, you are advised to apply the following steps:

Wash your face 3 times / day with pH balanced soap
Avoid the habit of pressing or breaking pimples
Avoid consumption of foods that contain lots of sugar and milk products
Minimization of skin contact with cell phones or other unhygienic objects that can press / rub against the skin and are less hygienic
Stress management well
