How To Deal With Blackened Scars?
Afternoon, want to ask whether it’s true to use bio-oil scar such as blackened skin can return to its original skin color?
Hello Rara Rara,
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is a black mark on the skin arising from the wound. This black scar appears because of the excessive production of skin pigment in the area. Black scars will appear more clearly in some people especially those who have brighter skin.
Topical medications sold at the counter are fading and brightening the part. The most effective therapy remains by conducting laser therapy that functions to damage the skin-producing cells in certain areas, resulting in the blackish color is lost. The therapy is usually done by a dermatologist. Some drugs that are peeling / peeling the skin can also help fade the former blackish, but its use must be careful because it can cause irritation.
Bio oil is very easy to get at the counter and the price is relatively cheap compared to other drugs which have the efficacy to fade the scar. Bio oil contains ingredients such as vitamins A, E, Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary, Chamomile oils which based on research can help the formation of collagen, have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory effects, reduce skin irritation, and help to fade hyperpigmentation. However, of course its use is not instant. The use of topical drugs like this must be routine every day for several months to be able to provide tangible results. During this period the skin must also be protected from sun exposure which can add to the dark scars.
Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
