How To Deal With Ear Infections In Infants Aged 7 Months
Good afternoon dock. I have a 7-month-old child. The inside of the ear is itchy and clogged with a yellow smelling lump. It says infection. I brought it to the tht to be given drops of Tarivid Otic 2 days later, the lump started to come out on its own. Day 3 is gone. But after the drops ran out within 2 weeks of my son’s ear like there was liquid inside. If cleaned with smelly cottonbud. What should you do, doc

I understand your concern, the presence of fluid in the ears of children can be caused by ear infections. Ear infections in infants usually occur in the middle ear (otitis media), due to bacterial or viral infections. Most otitis media arises from infections originating from the eustachian tubes, the ducts that connect the ears, nose and throat.
Ear infections in infants can be recognized by the following symptoms:
Fluid from the baby's ear.
Baby's ears smell.
Babies become more fussy and tug at their ears.
Not wanting to eat or drink.
Cry often or look in pain.
Watery ear conditions will likely interfere with the ability to hear for some time. Generally, it will improve around one week. until finally hearing returns to normal. If the fluid does not disappear completely, then the runny ears can drag on or are often referred to as the community congek.
If the symptoms do not improve after 2-3 days or even get worse, such as blood or pus coming out of the ear, then the mother needs to immediately bring your child to the doctor so that they can be examined and given appropriate treatment. If not treated immediately by a doctor, ear infection it is feared that in infants it can cause more severe disturbances to the ears, even causing impaired hearing.
To prevent runny ears due to a recurring infection, it is important to complete the child's immunization, maintain cleanliness and air quality at home, make it a habit to wash hands, keep breastfeeding, and avoid the habit of letting the child sleep while drinking bottled milk.
