How To Deal With Foot Blisters, Swelling And Pus Out?
Hello. After I fell from the motor, my foot was scratched and now it’s swollen, painful and pus comes out. How to handle it
Hello Armand, Thank you for the question.
Have you seen a doctor? Good wound care is one thing that must be considered properly to prevent infection and keep wound healing well. If you have a dirty wound, for example because of falling on a dirty road, then cleaning the wound must be done in such a way that the wound is clean and protected from infection. Wounds that are not cleaned properly can be a place for bacteria to grow and infection can occur. Some signs of infection in a wound are a wound or the surrounding skin becomes red, swollen, gets sick, exposes pus, or has a fever. If you already have signs of the infection, this wound requires further medical treatment. Therefore, please consult your doctor immediately. The doctor needs to do a direct examination of the wound to determine the next treatment. The doctor will clean the wound carefully. After cleaning the wound, the doctor may give antibiotics which can be in the form of ointments and / or tablets, depending on the severity of the infection. For the time being, keep the wound dry and clean. You are also advised to lift the swollen foot so that its position is higher to reduce swelling, for example by placing a pillow under the foot when sleeping. You can also take pain medications such as paracetamol to treat pain.
