How To Deal With Itching On The Body At Night?
, want to ask. My body feels itchy constantly at night and yesterday I checked my blood sugar after 1 hour of eating the result was 177. Is this itching caused by high blood sugar? and I only eat 2x a day, why can it suddenly go up so high, even though in the past when I ate 3x a day when I checked the result was not up to 120.
Hi Bonita Clau.. Thank you for the question.
Itching on your body can be caused by:
Parasitic infection (scabies / scabies) -- symptoms: itching and rash between the fingers and toes, armpits, elbows, under the breasts, buttocks area, and groin Fungal infection (tinea) -- symptoms: a reddish red rash that can appear more widespread and active at the periphery, itching, especially when sweating Allergic reactions Other diseases: such as diabetes, kidney disorders Meanwhile, high blood sugar/diabetes have symptoms such as: frequent thirst, frequent hunger, and increased urinary frequency; easy fatigue, significant weight loss, and there are wounds that are difficult to heal. To establish a diagnosis of diabetes, blood sugar checks can be done during, blood sugar 2 hours after eating, and sugar and fasting. If you check your blood sugar, you should do it at least 2 hours after eating. If you do it 1 hour after eating then the results can be confusing because after eating blood sugar will increase. If you feel there are symptoms of diabetes then you should see a doctor. The doctor will perform a physical examination and repeat blood sugar checks to get more precise results.
As for the itching complaints that you experience if the complaints still continue, then what you can do:
Take care of personal hygiene, bathe 2x a day Change sheets, towels, clothes, periodically and avoid using these items interchangeably Avoid scratching the itchy part because it can cause infection Hopefully useful
