How To Deal With Itchy And Bumpy Skin?
Hello, I’m Joseph. Last night I was with a few of my friends going camping on the beach, and when I returned, my instincts and hands were all itchy, and bumps appeared. Is the cause of itching and bumps mosquito bites or something else? Itching has been going on for 2 days. Thank you
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Itching and bumps on the instep of the feet and hands after a beach activity may indicate the following conditions:
Mosquito, insect or other animal bites Allergy, for example due to cold ambient temperature, dry air, pollen Contact dermatitis (inflammation of the skin due to allergies to substances in contact with skin or due to contact with irritative substances) Excessive skin suppression, for example due to the use of clothing tight and hot Skin infections, for example due to fungal, bacterial, viral, mite infections Atopic dermatitis Other skin inflammation, etc. These conditions are usually not dangerous. However, if you do not get the right treatment, of course itching and bumps can really interfere with your daily activities. Therefore, before the complaint gets worse, we recommend that you consult yourself directly to a doctor or dermatologist so that further observations and treatments are carried out. It may be that additional tests, such as allergy tests, laboratories, and so on will be recommended by your doctor.
In the meantime, even though it feels itchy, you should not over-scratch the skin of your hands and feet. Be more diligent in matters of bathing and maintaining bodily hygiene. Avoid using clothes and pants that are too tight, made from heat, and also dirty. Avoid contact between the skin of the hands and feet with substances that can trigger allergies or irritants, for example detergents, or other chemical substances. First apply calamine lotion to areas of itchy and bumpy skin to make it feel more comfortable. Do not forget, drink more water, multiply do relaxation, do not stress, and always live a healthy lifestyle.
Hope this helps ...
