How To Deal With Pinworms?

r, I want to ask. I am 20 years old and for the past few days I have been experiencing itching around the anus. I was worried whether I was infected with worms. Then one night when I urinated and drained the anus, I found pinworms. I was surprised, that night I also took the 125mg syrup combantrin worm medicine. I’m worried because as far as I know the worms can also nest in the vagina and can cause infertility. So what should I do now so that I can be free from the Prsit infection? What medicine should I take? and what food should I avoid so that I don’t get infected with the worms. Thank you

Hi Khansakh,
The presence of worms in the stool or rectum after defecation is a definite symptom of having a worm infection (worm infection). One of the worm infections that quite often occurs is pinworm infection (Entrobius vermicularis) which is generally characterized by the presence of worms in the rectum and itching around the anus or genitals at night.
Worms can cause no symptoms at all so that people who experience it may not realize that they are actually infected with worms. Regarding this condition, you should immediately consult your doctor so that you get the right treatment, namely the administration of deworming medicine (mebendazole or albendazole) at the appropriate dose based on your needs.
In addition to doctor's treatment, you can also do some of the following suggestions to treat worm infections:
Keep your food, cutlery and hands clean
Use footwear when doing activities
Wash your hands before eating
Keep your nails short enough
Avoid sharing the use of body equipment with others such as towels, sheets or beds
Clean your dust and clothes
Make sure the food you eat is completely cooked
