Good morning Amar, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Prickly heat or in medical language referred to as miliaria crystalline is a condition that occurs when there is a blockage in the sweat glands in the body. This blockage can occur because in children the sweat glands are functioning perfectly.
This condition will also be very possible if the patient (in this case your child) lives in an area that is hot and high in humidity because this condition will cause more sweat production. Similarly, the use of clothing that is too tight, layered or made from heat, because it can cause increased production of sweat while inhibiting the pores of the gland itself which leads to the formation of prickly heat.
Therefore, the weather, humidity and also how to use clothes must be very concerned if you want to eliminate complaints in your child. Prickly heat as explained, does not occur because of food so that there are no restrictions on certain foods. The use of drugs must also be accompanied by changes to the aspects mentioned earlier, if not, prickly heat will continue to occur.
For now, it's best to make the weather and humidity in your child's place cool enough. Do not use tight clothing on your child, do not use layered clothes. Look for clothing material that is easy to absorb sweat. If your child sweats, immediately dry his body and replace his clothes with new clothes that are still dry. If your child seems to scratch it often, calamin powder can be given to help reduce the itching.
I hope this helps.
