Hello, good evening Mrs. Vonnydauna.
Swelling of the penis after circumcision can be a normal thing to happen. The swelling will usually begin to dissipate slowly within 2-3 weeks of the circumcision procedure. However, swelling can also be an early sign of inflammation due to infection. In conditions of infection and inflammation, apart from swelling, the patient also usually complains of severe pain, redness, and fever.
Given that the circumcision took place 2 weeks ago, it is possible that your child's condition is indeed normal. In addition, you have checked with the doctor and the examining doctor said that the condition that your child is experiencing is classified as normal. However, if you are worried about your child's condition, then you can ask another doctor's opinion. You also need to immediately take your child to the doctor if your child experiences complaints such as pain in the penis, fever, presence of pus, and unable to urinate.
Meanwhile, make sure that your baby uses loose pants or underwear for circumcision, keep the penis dry / not moist, and continue the treatment given by the doctor.
I hope this helps.
Greetings, dr. Denisa
