How To Deal With Swollen Lips Suddenly?

I want to ask, this morning I suddenly woke up and my lips were swollen but there was no pain, they were sore. Even though I didn’t hit my lips or I was allergic to drugs! Why is that? And the solution is how to solve it.

Hi Rena,
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Swelling of the lips that occurs suddenly generally indicates inflammation (inflammation). The trigger can not only be caused by impact or allergies, but can also be due to:
Insect bites
Excessive sucking or biting of the lips
Contact dermatitis
Infections, eg due to candidiasis, herpes zoster, genital herpes
Drug eruption
Angioedema
Cellulitis
Mucocele
Lip cancer, and so on
As an initial treatment, try to compress the swollen lips using cold water or ice water. Avoid touching or squeezing the swelling excessively, especially using dirty hands because it can trigger a secondary infection of the lips. Also avoid the habit of sucking or biting your lips. Avoid smoking or taking drugs indiscriminately except on doctor's advice.
However, if the swelling persists for more than 2 x 24 hours, you should immediately consult a doctor so that appropriate treatment can be carried out.
I hope this helps.
