Hello, good evening. Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com
Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is an examination using X-rays (X-rays) to see the condition of the uterus and the surrounding area. This examination is generally done on women who have infertility problems or recurrent miscarriages.
Some things that can be checked about patients are
Infertility. This condition can be caused by a blockage in the fallopian tubes, uterine scarring, abnormal shape of the uterus, as well as tumors or uterine polyps.
Fallopian tube blockage, for example due to infection or installation of tubal implants (one of the non-surgical methods of permanent contraception)
Other problems in the uterus, such as abnormal shape, injury, the presence of foreign bodies in the uterus, fibroids and uterine polyps. These problems can cause recurrent miscarriages or painful menstruation.
For the results must be read by doctors who are competent about it, namely obstetricians or radiology doctors.
Normal examination results will show contrast (fluid that is inserted through the vagina) fills the uterus and fallopian tubes completely and the fluid can come out again through the vagina
Abnormal fallopian tubes will make pregnancy more difficult. This is caused by the egg can be released in both ovaries (left and right), if the egg is released by the left ovary, fallopian tube abnormalities will disrupt sperm to fertilize the egg. For this to be done a number of ways to overcome them and should consult with an obstetrician.
Thus the information we can convey. May be useful. Thank you
