I don’t usually get sick for long. it’s been 2 weeks not fully recovered. thank you very much for your attention
Good evening, thanks for the question
Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection of Salmonella typhi or paratyphi in the digestive tract which is closely related to personal hygiene and poor environmental sanitation.
Fever is the main symptom of typhoid. At the beginning of the course of the fever occurs faint, then the fever begins to rise and fall. Increasingly higher fever days are accompanied by other symptoms such as dizziness, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting and no appetite. In the second week the fever is getting higher and is continuous or continuous. In the third week, the fever just started to slowly decrease.
Complaints of dizziness and bitter mouth can still be found until the third week. Antibiotics should be taken as per doctor's recommendations. Complaints of headache can be given paracetamol or ibuprofen.
In addition to supporting the healing process, do the following:
- Maintain adequate fluid intake
- Nutritionally balanced diet, soft consistency if frequent vomiting, enough calories and protein, low in fiber
- Consumption of medicines regularly and thoroughly
- Limit strenuous activities
That's all, hope you can help. Wassalam, Dr. Farah
