How To Find Out Fatigue While Driving?
, if the Romberg’s Test can be used to determine the condition of the driver is still fit or tired (sleepy)?
Hello, congratulations Abraham.
Romberg Test is one of the examinations to see the neurological function (innervation) of a person. A person's balance is regulated by three factors, namely vision (eyes), vestibular function (the center of balance in the inner ear), and cerebellum (cerebellum). In this examination, a person who is examined will be asked to stand with his feet side-by-side for 30 seconds with his eyes closed. If a person cannot balance himself using two of the three organ functions (in this case the ears and cerebellum), then this can be an indication that a neurological problem has occurred. In addition, this test can also be carried out by law enforcement to find out whether a person is under the influence of alcohol or certain drugs. However, this test is not a standardized examination to find out whether a person is under the influence of certain substances.
There are many variables that can be checked to detect driving / working fatigue in a person, such as by counting unconscious pupillary movements (which are proven to be associated with an increase in a person's fatigue level), heart rate (slowing heart rate indicates drowsiness), and so on. But until now there has been no standardized examination used to detect conditions of work fatigue or driving fatigue.
That's all, hopefully it helps ..
