How To Get Rid Of A Stye On The Eyelid?
I want to ask . My eye stye is almost a year after it healed, it kept coming back and it took a long time to heal and until now my stye has not healed. how do I fix it so that my stye is deflated and healed. and will not appear again
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
In the eyelids there are many glands whose function is to produce oil to keep the surrounding area moist, including Meibom glands, Zeis glands, Moll glands. Oftentimes, however, these glands become inflamed, causing oil and inflammatory cells to build up and result in a painful, red, and enlarged lump. This condition is called a stye (hordeolum).
In most cases, the stye will burst or deflate on its own within 1 to 2 weeks. However, in some people, the stye can often recur and recur so that it feels very annoying. In addition to hygiene factors that are not maintained properly, genetic disorders related to impaired function of this gland itself are strongly suspected to be the trigger.
Therefore, you should immediately consult an ophthalmologist. That way, it can be evaluated further, is it true that your complaint appears due to a stye, or for other reasons. Stye-like symptoms can also appear due to other causes, such as chalazion, preseptal cellulitis, tumors, contact dermatitis, and so on. If it is true that it is because of a stye, and the complaint is very frequent, in addition to giving medication, surgical procedures can also be an option.
At this time, you should not hold or squeeze the stye that appears. Always keep your face and eyes clean, free from dust, make-up, and other irritants. If you feel pain, compress the stye using warm water.
Hope it helps ya..
