how do you get rid of black blood clotted under the nails, the pain is gone a long time ago but the marks don’t go away thanks

1 Answer:

Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com

Basically, frozen blood under the nails will only disappear after the nails grow and lift the blood clots out of the nails. Finger nails grow at a rate of approximately 3 mm per month, while toe nails grow at a rate of approximately 1.5 mm per month. If the blood clot is located at the bottom (near the base of the nail), then the blood clot in the new hand will disappear within 4-6 months, while the blood clot in the new leg will disappear within 8 months to 1 year.

If it does not cause pain anymore, then you have nothing to worry about. Blood clots under the nails will not cause certain dangers or complications. If it interferes with appearance, you can use nail polish to cover up the blood clot.

So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
