How To Overcome A Hard Lump In The Head And Easy To Move?
Hello, I was 20 years old and since I was a child I had a bump on the head and if it was pressed hard it would move and feel soft but I never felt pain if it was a tumor and if it was a tumor please explain what the tumor was and how to cure it
Thank you for the question.
Lumps on the head that are rather hard, easy to move, and soft consistency are usually benign conditions. The reason could be due to variations in skull bones from birth, skin infections (such as acne, warts), benign tumors (such as cysts, lipomas, fibromas), skin tags, keloids or hypertrophic scars, and so on. This lump, as long as it does not continue to enlarge, and does not also cause annoying complaints, such as pain, itching, watering, or suppurating, is often not dangerous. However, you are still not advised to hold the lump excessively, let alone press, move, or give treatment carelessly without consulting a doctor first. Do not forget, also improve your personal hygiene, and avoid contact between the scalp with substances that might trigger irritation and allergies.
If you find that the lump is enlarged, hardened, changes the structure of the surrounding skin (such as thickened or rough), itching, pain, or reappear in other areas, you should check yourself directly to the doctor or surgeon. Worried, these bumps on your head appear related to more serious infections (such as folliculitis, abscesses, or cellulitis), malignant tumors (such as melanoma, sarcoma), to serious head injuries (for example, which cause skull fractures or hematomas) that require management further from the doctor so that it does not develop into dangerous complications. If you suspect a more serious condition, the doctor may direct you to undergo an x-ray examination, CT scan, MRI, biopsy, or other supporting tests. Depending on the cause, later your condition can be treated differently, it might be enough to observe, given medication, or maybe surgery is also done.
Hope this helps ...
