How To Reduce Pain In Scoliosis Sufferers?
night, I am 22 years old in September 2017 I was declared to have lumbar scoliosis with a degree of inclination of 6 °. The doctor advised me to swim a lot to reduce the pain. I’ve tried to swim regularly 2x a week but still the pain is still very pronounced, and in fact it seems to be getting worse. Is there a solution? explanation please. Thank you
Scoliosis is an abnormal sideways curvature of the spine. The presence of scoliosis can give complaints in the form of pain in the waist that can radiate to the legs, back pain that is getting worse, imbalance in body posture.
Some suggestions that can be done in the state of scoliosis include:
Avoid doing sports or lifting objects that are too heavy
Sleep on a flat mat
Avoid using a pillow that is too high while sleeping
Take the medicine given by the doctor to relieve pain
Keep doing light exercise like swimming
Handling of scoliosis is done by giving pain relievers, using a brace and if necessary surgery can be done to correct the curvature that occurs in the spine. Do a consultation and control with the doctor who examined you to find out the condition you are experiencing and further management that can be given.
I hope this information is helpful.
