How To Take Advanced TB Drugs?

Yes, the process of taking TB drugs is continued. Previously I took ethambutol and isoniazoid in the morning, and rifampicin in the afternoon on an empty stomach. So if I want to change my drinking of ethambutol and isoniazid together with rifampicin in the afternoon, can I? And should there be a time lag in taking the 3 drugs at the same time?

Hi Wilda,
The administration of tuberculosis drugs must indeed be considered properly because of its long and prolonged use, as well as the possible side effects that can occur due to the amount and duration of its use.
OAT use should be separated at least 2 hours apart. This is because the effects of rifampicin and INH both increase the risk of hepatotoxicity for patients. Therefore, you should consume it according to the doctor's recommendations, with a predetermined time interval.
If you need to change the time of use, discuss this again with the doctor who treats you.
Don't forget to drink lots of water, and regularly check your health condition, including the possible effects of the medicine on your liver and kidneys, to the nearest doctor and laboratory.
I hope this helps
