How To Treat Tonsillitis?
Hello … I want to ask what is the difference between tonsils and tonsillitis ?? Right now I’m having a sore throat … and quite painful … There are friends who suggest herbal ginger juice mixed with honey to drink … is it safe? And is there any way to get rid of tonsillitis permanently ?? Thanks
Tonsils, or tonsils, are lymph nodes that are behind the throat. In certain conditions, if there is an infection in the tonsils by both bacteria and viruses, there will be inflammation of the tonsils or what is called tonsillitis / tonsillitis. Tonsillitis will cause symptoms such as sore throat, swallowing pain, cough, headache, and fever. But basically, apart from inflammation of the tonsils, sore throat can also be caused by other conditions, such as laryngitis / pharyngitis, or inflammation of the vocal cords / laryngitis, or other conditions such as weather and pollutant factors, and smoking history.
To relieve complaints, you can drink warm drinks and soothe the throat, including ginger water and honey, or warm lemon water. You can also rinse your mouth with warm water and salt, chew candy containing menthol, and be in a humid room environment, and rest your voice for a moment, and you can take available painkillers such as paracetamol.
Basically, this sore throat will heal completely by itself. For tonsillitis itself, although now can heal completely, there is no guarantee that inflammation will not recur later. It is possible to take tonsils, but it must also be in accordance with indications, such as enlarged tonsils that have interfered with respiratory function, snoring, etc. You can visit an ENT specialist if pain still does not improve after being treated at home, you have difficulty swallowing, difficulty breathing and opening your mouth, and high fever.
Hopefully this information can help and hopefully get well soon.
