Hypertension At A Young Age.?
I want to ask, is the result of blood pressure 140/100 including the danger at a young age? my age is 23 want to walk 24, tb 180cm with bb 74kg. Are the results of the tension included dangerous? then how to effectively reduce high blood pressure? Thanks.
Hello! Thank you for the question on HealthReplies.com
Based on the JNC 7 hypertension guidelines, normal blood pressure criteria are defined as systolic numbers (top) <120 and distole (bottom) <80. A cystole 120-139 or an 80-89 distole is defined as prehypertension, and a cystole 140 or above or distole 90 and above are defined as hypertension.
Based on the JNC 8 guideline, the maximum blood pressure target age <60 is systolic 140 and diastole 90. Based on this, the blood pressure of 140/100 that you experience has exceeded the target.
In this condition, you should check with your doctor to be re-examined your blood pressure. Accurate measurement of blood pressure should be done at least in 2 time, minimum range of 5 minutes. If both results remain high, then chances are you have high blood pressure (hypertension). If so, your doctor will consider giving you a blood pressure-lowering medication. After that, don't forget to routinely control blood pressure to the doctor to be able to monitor blood pressure regularly and respond to your treatment.
Uncontrolled blood pressure on target, can trigger complications such as bleeding strokes, kidney disease, heart disease, etc.
The best thing to do is:
Take a special diet for blood pressure reduction, namely the DASH diet (Avoid foods high in salt, fat, and high sugar) Increase consumption of fruits and vegetables Regular exercise especially aerobic type Avoid stress If your blood pressure is controlled with medication, regular consumption of drugs and regular control to the doctor That's all my explanation, hopefully it helps and useful :)
