Immunizations For Infants Aged 5 Months?
Sorry to ask, babies aged 5 months do they need immunizations
Hello Kyky, Thank you for the question.
Immunization is a contagious disease control program by providing vaccines. Vaccine aims to stimulate the body to form immune substances or known as antibodies so that the body becomes immune to disease. Immunization is recommended to be given to newborns up to children aged 18 years. This immunization program is intended for all children without exception, including your child. Recommended immunization in Indonesia consists of basic and advanced immunizations. The recommended basic immunizations are:
age 0 month: hepatitis B
age 1 month: BCG, polio
2 months of age: DPT, hepatitis B, HiB, polio
age 3 months: DPT, hepatitis B, HiB, polio
age 4 months: DPT, hepatitis B, HiB, polio
9 months of age: measles / MR (measles and rubella)
For further immunizations, the recommendations are:
Ages 18-24 months: DPT, hepatitis B, HiB, measles / MR
1 year of age or equivalent: measles, DT (diphtheria and tetanus)
age 2-5 years: Td (tetanus and diphtheria)
to find out what immunizations your baby should receive, please consult your nearest pediatrician today or tomorrow. Do not delay consulting with a doctor especially if the child has not received any immunizations at all because this condition makes the child vulnerable to infection. Please also discuss with your doctor about your child's immunization schedule, making sure you have a record of the child's immunization schedule so you don't miss it.
I hope this helps.
