Increased Vaginal Discharge After The Saline Infusion Sonohysterography Procedure?
Morning, sorry I want to ask. On December 27, I took SIS action at Doctor Spog (K) and after that it was stated that it was okay, only the amount of vaginal discharge was rather large. But the vaginal discharge I experienced was odorless, itchy and milky white (like condensed milk). My question is, why after the SIS action do I experience vaginal discharge which is sometimes runny to wet my CD or when I have vaginal discharge such as water that flows out of the vagina or sometimes feels like menstruation but what comes out like condensed milk. Is there any influence / impact from SIS in the form of vaginal discharge? Because I have never been like this before. Please explain, thank you.
Thank you for the question.
Saline Infusion Sonohysterography or SIS is a procedure performed to detect structural abnormalities in a woman's reproductive organs such as the uterus, ovaries, and ovaries. This procedure is done by conducting an ultrasound examination into the vagina first, inserting fluid into the uterus, and conducting further ultrasound examinations.
After performing the procedure, you can do your daily activities and usually do not cause serious side effects. You may feel uncomfortable or experience minor bleeding or a little cramping that will disappear by itself in a few days, as well as vaginal discharge. This usually happens because the tissue around your female organs becomes irritated when an instrument is inspected and fluid is inserted into the body, so the body tries to implement a protective mechanism by removing the irritated tissues and 'cleansing' itself by releasing vaginal discharge.
However, if the vaginal discharge is not normal, such as fishy, itchy, and yellowish or greenish in color, accompanied by fever and severe pain, you can immediately contact your obstetrician as your doctor may be signs of infection after the procedure.
Hopefully this information can help.
