Infants Aged 2 Months Have Difficulty Sleeping?
Good night, I want to ask, why is it that my child is having trouble sleeping? My child is only 2 months old. But if you sleep in a very tight arms, you put it down. Thank you🙏🙏🙏
Good evening, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. There are various reasons why babies can behave the way you complain, unfortunately so far there is still no definitive cause because it is difficult for us to understand babies due to limited communication. Moreover, what is felt by one baby can be different from other babies so that if it is known the cause cannot be generalized.
Two possible causes that are often mentioned so far are that early in life, babies are more likely to like being held because it gives them a sense of security. The swing that appears when in the cucumber, and perhaps the small sound that the mother produces, gives the same sensation when they are still in the womb. When they are put on the bed, the sensation disappears and they wake up again.
The next possibility, is the temperature difference between the hand or body, with the bed. Naturally, if the bed feels cooler than body temperature, because the air-conditioned room, even after a while the air conditioner is turned off, blankets, pillows and bolsters can still feel cold. Another case with the body where there are certain mechanisms that keep our temperature in the range of 36.5-37.5 degrees Celsius. When babies are transferred from a sling to a mattress, the cold temperatures exposed to their skin shock them, awaken, and then cry again.
And there are various other reasons that, once again, could be different for each baby. Our advice, try not to rush to put your baby on the bed, make sure he is really sleeping in so he is not aware when placed, and make sure the bed is not cold so that surprised him. If it still does not work, and sleep disturbance in your baby has resulted in weight loss or others, you should immediately consult your child to the pediatrician. So, hopefully answering your question.
