Want to ask doc. Since yesterday, inflammation of the tonsils on the right then healed. But how come it’s now moved to the throat like a fishing rod like that. Like there is food that is stuck, I try to vomit, but still not lost. Is that dangerous dock? Thank you very much

1 Answer:

Hello Annisa, Thank you for the question.

The symptoms that you experience in the throat may be caused by inflammation in the throat and this condition is not a dangerous condition. If you have just had tonsillitis yesterday, complaints of the throat at this time are very likely related to complaints of sore throats due to inflammation of the tonsils. Tonsillitis is generally caused by a viral infection, and some is caused by a bacterial infection. It is not uncommon for tonsillitis to occur together with pharyngitis (pharyngitis). These symptoms cause a sore throat, painful swallowing, dry throat / a lump in the throat, fever, cough, headache. This condition can improve by itself without special handling. The initial treatment you can do is:

multiply water consumption
gargle with warm salt water regularly to relieve sore throat
much rest
multiply the consumption of nutritious foods
Avoid exposure to dust and other air pollution
use an air humidifier to prevent dry air which can cause the throat to feel dry
Try consuming throat lozenges

If these symptoms do not improve for more than 2 weeks, or if symptoms of high fever (38 C or more) appear continuously and are difficult to swallow, please check with your nearest doctor so that your doctor can immediately examine you before determining the appropriate treatment for you.

I hope this helps.
