Irregular Menstruation Accompanied By Pain?
Tonight, I want to tell you about what I experienced for 3 months about my period. On Oct. 2019, my period could almost be counted twice a month and in an adjacent period. And that lasted until December 2019. Then I saw a doctor at one of the maternity clinics in Surabaya. After the ultrasound and the blood check everything turned out to be normal. The doctor only said that there were hormonal disorders, then I was given hormonal drugs that took 21 days. When I first started drinking on 28 des I was still menstruating until 6 January, but I stopped taking the medicine for 21 days. On the 17th of January my medication was up, and my control schedule was on the 23rd of January. But on the 21st of January I menstruated the first day and my stomach ached and had more blood than before, so I had to replace the dressing more than six times a day. I had the feeling that it was necessary to take anti-pain medication for menstruation, I consulted the pharmacist and then was given a safe drug for me to consume but the pain in my lower abdomen did not go away. What do you think my doctor should do about a situation like this? thanks.
Thank you for the question.
Hormonal disorders are indeed one of the most common causes of irregular menstrual cycles. This condition can be many possible triggers, such as unhealthy lifestyles, stress, extreme diets, fatigue, the influence of drugs or contraception, to thyroid gland abnormalities or pituitary. To overcome this condition, doctors will generally give several types of drugs, including hormonal drugs.
It needs to be understood, because the causes are multifactorial, often menstrual disorders due to hormonal influences are not enough to be handled simply by taking drugs from a doctor. You should also compensate with natural treatments, such as:
Get enough rest, 6-8 hours a day Regular exercise at least 30 minutes every day Maintain your ideal body weight Eat more foods that contain antioxidants, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, water, fish oil Do not over-consume instant foods and preservatives Manage stress and emotions wisely Do not carelessly take drugs or supplements, other than those given by doctors Only do safe and responsible sex activities Your condition that still experiences abnormal bleeding from the vagina can be caused by handling that is not optimal. As for abdominal pain that appears, in addition to hormonal influences, it may also be caused by other medical conditions, such as endometriosis, myoma, pelvic inflammation, urinary tract infections or stones, digestive infections, intestinal inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome, psychological disorders, psychological cramps, etc. The good, you check yourself back to the doctor or obstetrician so that your condition can be handled properly according to the cause huh ..
I hope this helps.
