Is Eating Brown Sugar Healthy Or Is It Dangerous?
Hello, nI want to ask, I saw on google how come there are those who say brown sugar is very healthy and can increase energy during activities or sports and some say it only temporarily increases energy and will eventually become weak. NSo which one is correct? NPlease answer yes, because my coach suggested bringing brown sugar for the match later
Hello, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
Brown sugar is sugar made from coconut sap, different from ordinary granulated sugar made from sugarcane juice. Brown sugar has a less sweet taste than granulated sugar and has a more distinctive taste and smell. Brown sugar is known to have a lower glycemic index than sugar and honey, so it can be used as a substitute for sugar in diabetics (although large amounts are not recommended). A low glycemic index will increase blood sugar levels more slowly and will decrease more slowly as well. In addition, brown sugar also contains inulin. Inulin is a type of carbohydrate that is believed to increase insulin sensitivity and has good metabolic effects for people who have a high risk of developing diabetes.
Even though there are many advantages of brown sugar compared to regular sugar, excessive consumption is still not recommended, especially for diabetics. There are no studies that show the benefits of consuming brown sugar before exercise, so it is not clear the benefits of consuming brown sugar before sports competitions.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
