Is It Dangerous For Babies To Sleep On Floor Mattresses?
I want to ask, my child is only about 7 months old. if I sleep I like to put it on a floor mattress like a Palembang mattress. Because he has started to crawl so he is afraid of falling if he sleeps on top. R nIs it dangerous for his lungs?
Hello Kiki, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
The following are sleep recommendations for babies under 1 year of age:
Baby sleeping in his or her own crib (baby crib or basinet)
Babies sleep in 1 room with parents but not 1 bed
Babies sleep on mattresses that are hard enough with sheets that don't come off easily
The baby is put to sleep in a supine position (back down)
Nothing else in the cot (including blankets, pillows, and soft stuffed toys)
The sleep recommendation is given to prevent sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) during sleep.
Baby crib (crib), has a safety on the sides that will protect the baby from falling from the bed. Therefore you should start putting your baby to sleep in the crib to prevent SIDS and babies from falling.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
