Is It Dangerous To Accidentally Stick Worms From Cats?
Ass, I have a cat that is exposed to intestinal worms and accidentally I stuck to the worm from my cat, the shape is flat the size of rice seeds, is it a tapeworm and is it dangerous for me because it is stuck directly to my skin.
Good afternoon Dony, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Tapeworms visibly look like ribbons, which are flat and are generally white. These worms are commonly found in beef or pork, depending on the type of tapeworm itself. This worm is rarely found in other animals, unless the animal accidentally consumes worm larvae.
Based on the worm description you mentioned above and also where you found the worm, it's likely that the worm is not a tapeworm but another type of worm that commonly infects cats.
Specifically for tapeworms themselves, the way of transmission is by consuming the worm larvae found in beef or pork that are not cooked thoroughly / still raw. It cannot be transmitted through other means, especially only by touch.
For worms that you touch, you should ask the doctor further by bringing pictures or examples of the worms, while you also take your cat to see a veterinarian to prevent the spread of other infections that can be transmitted through cats.
I hope this helps.
