Is It Dangerous To Have A Baby At 6 Months Old?
Shalom … I’m from Tangerang. Want to ask this, I had read a little about miscarriages there is a baby aged 6 months. And what I want to know here is: does it endanger the mother of the miscarried baby?
Hello Horazzio, Thank you for your question.
Death of the fetus in the womb after 20 weeks gestation is known as intrauterine fetal death (IUFD) while miscarriage is a term used to express fetal death under the age of 20 weeks. Most cases of IUFD are not known with certainty why. The following factors cause IUFD:
mother's age and lifestyle
disorders of the placenta
maternal health conditions such as preeclampsia, autoimmune diseases, infections by the B group Streptococcus bacteria, toxoplasmosis infections
the occurrence of bleeding in pregnancy for example due to placental abruption
This condition can be dangerous for pregnant women depending on the cause for example if it is caused by bleeding then pregnant women can lose a lot of blood and if not treated immediately can be life threatening or if caused by infection, this infection can spread throughout the body and cause sepsis. Even a fetus that dies in the womb if not born immediately can cause a number of health problems for the mother such as uterine infections and blood clots. Because of this, mothers who experience IUFD must be treated immediately by giving birth to the fetus within 2 x 24 hours through normal or induction contact. If the mother's health condition worsens, the fetus will be born with a C-section.
Therefore, pregnant women are advised to immediately consult a gynecologist if they feel reduced fetal movement. Pregnant women are also advised to avoid smoking, avoid consumption of alcoholic beverages, and regularly control obstetricians according to the recommended schedule.
I hope this helps.
