Is It Natural For A Normal Delivery With Bowel Movements?
I want to ask, is it natural for a normal delivery accompanied by a bowel movement?
Hello, good morning Kirana ..
Occurrence of feces during childbirth normally (spontaneously) is a very natural thing to happen. When a mother is pushing during normal labor, she uses all her strength in the pelvic floor to try to get the baby out. The movement of pushing the baby in the vagina uses the same muscles as the movement of pushing the stool from the rectum (the end of the large intestine, before the anus), thus contributing to the passing of the stool during normal labor can actually be a sign that the mother is using the correct muscles when pushing. For this reason, health workers who assist with childbirth should be prepared for this to happen, and are usually trained to wipe the stool that comes out in a special way (so that the baby is still born in a clean condition and is not exposed to the mother's feces at birth).
That's all, hope this helps :)
