Is It Normal For Black Spots To Appear On The Scar Area?
One month ago I suffered an accident and suffered a wound in my knee, the length of the wound – + 3cm is now dry and peeling. But in the scar area there are black spots. Previously I used bioplacenton ointment to help the wound dry and peel. Is that reasonable? thank you
Thank you for the question.
Injury to the knee after an accident can be dangerous or not. Frequently, superficial, extensive, and properly treated wounds will heal within 1-4 weeks without leaving dangerous complications. As for the condition of your wounds that have seemed dry and peeling, it is likely to indicate there is no more without severe inflammation to worry about.
However, the appearance of dark spots on your wound may indicate that your wound is less clean. It could also be that these black spots arise due to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or other medical conditions, such as folliculitis, moles, benign or malignant tumors, contact dermatitis, and so on.
To be clear, you can check your condition directly to the doctor or dermatologist. Simply by inspecting the spot directly, often the doctor is able to identify the cause, as well as giving him the best treatment.
In the meantime, what needs to be done is to keep the wound clean, not to experience excessive friction and pressure, and also not to be forced into force, especially with dirty hands. Along with normal skin cell regeneration, dry skin and mild spots often will exfoliate on their own without special handling. Without doctor's advice, do not carelessly give any ointment or medication to your wound ..
I hope this helps.
