, I am planning to have cyst surgery, because my cyst is 6cm in size. If I become pregnant later. Will I be able to give birth normally 2 years after cyst surgery? Please enlighten me 🙏
Hello Mochu, Thank you for the question.
Do you mean ovarian cyst? Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs found in a woman's ovaries / ovaries. Ovaries function to produce eggs and reproductive hormones (estrogen and progesterone). The presence of ovarian cysts can potentially cause interference with ovarian function. Ovarian cysts are divided into two, namely functional cysts (cysts that are part of the menstrual cycle) and pathological cysts (cysts formed from abnormal cells).
If you are diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, the next treatment depends on the size of the cyst, the presence or absence of symptoms, and whether the patient has experienced menopause or not. Surgical removal of the cyst will usually be recommended if the cyst is larger than 5 cm. A history of undergoing surgical removal of ovarian cysts will not interfere with your ability to give birth normally. That way, you don't have to worry about this. Please discuss with your obstetrician about this procedure if you still have further questions.
Don't forget to consult your obstetrician when you are planning a pregnancy so that the doctor can return to check your reproductive organs before becoming pregnant so that your pregnancy can run well.
Hope this information is helpful.
