Is It Possible To Mix Milk With Hot Solution Water In?
I want to ask. My child is 2 months old and is sometimes difficult or rarely chapters. And my mother-in-law suggested that the milk powder that my child drank was made by mixing the milk with water that was tasteless. Is that okay and not dangerous for babies? Please explain so that my in-laws understand. Thank you
Hello Anike Febby,
Formula milk is milk that is made specifically to suit nutritional needs according to age groups and certain conditions. However, as best as formula milk is, exclusive breastfeeding for infants <6 months of age remains the best. Provision of formula milk can cause constipation in some cases, because of its composition which is more difficult to digest or the composition of water that is lacking when making formula milk. Infants aged 2 months who get formula milk can defecate 1-2 times a day or even only once every 2 days.
Constipation in infants is characterized by the following symptoms:
Hard or small bowel movements such as pellets Baby is agitated or cries whenever you want CHAPTER CHAPTER frequency decreases dramatically than usual If not accompanied by these symptoms, the frequency of BAB your baby may be considered normal. Constipation in infants often occurs in the following conditions:
The transition period from breast milk to formula milk Substitution of formula milk Allergy to cow's milk Transition to solid food Dehydration Disorders related to the digestive tract, such as Hirschprung, intestinal obstruction Constipation in infants who get formulas other than because of the composition of milk, can also be due to mothers over-loading milk powder compared the amount of water used. Each formula milk has a recommended dose of milk dissolution. We recommend that you put in water in accordance with the amount listed in the new package then add milk powder with a measuring spoon of milk from the package with the appropriate amount. Do not over-spoon milk powder into a bottle and should not add more milk powder than the recommended amount in the hope that the baby gets more nutrition. If you give milk with less water dissolving, the baby may experience less fluid - dehydration which can also be a cause of constipation experienced by the baby.
Preparing formula for babies should use boiling water, then wait 30 minutes until the temperature drops to around 70 degrees Celsius. Then wait to drain the outside of the bottle with running water so that the temperature drops and can be given to children. Avoid holding the pacifier or exposing water to the pacifier's mouth. It is not recommended to dissolve powdered formula with other solutions or add sugar to baby's milk. Triple cap seal solution contains gypsum fibrosum, sodium chloride, calcitum for which there is no medical research whether it is safe to give to infants let alone mixed with formula milk given every day for infants.
To help reduce constipation in your baby you can do the following:
Wash the baby with warm water Sports / gymnastics by moving the baby's lower limbs such as cycling movements Lightly massage the baby's abdomen Give formula milk according to its dose with sufficient amount of water and the appropriate frequency of administration Change the type of formula milk used or consult in advance with your doctor to find out whether there is a possibility of cow milk allergy or lactose intolerance or formula milk composition that is not suitable for your baby's condition. That's my explanation, hopefully it's useful.
