my husband is sick with German measles but yesterday he apologized for the husband and wife relationship … Is it dangerous or can it be contagious? Thanks.

Hello Salsa, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.

German measles is a disease caused by Rubella virus infection, where this disease belongs to the infectious disease group. People who have close contact with sufferers if they do not have the immune system against this disease are up to 90% at risk for contracting.

This disease can spread from one person to another in several ways such as:

Inhaling splashes of saliva when coughing or sneezing
Direct contact with objects contaminated with patient's saliva
Touching the eyes, nose or mouth after contact with the patient's saliva
Through the blood from the mother to the fetus during the womb

Although this disease is not transmitted through sexual contact, but you are still at high risk (especially if you do not have the resistance to this disease) contracting this disease because you make close contact with your husband's saliva.

If you experience the same symptoms as your husband, immediately see a doctor to get therapy. For now, advise your husband to wear a mask and rest at home until he is completely healed to prevent transmission of the disease to others, especially children and pregnant women.

I hope this helps.
