Is It Safe To Take Cold Medicine With Toothache Medicine?
Good night. I have a sore throat + flu, and am currently taking Demacolin + Dexa. Then during root canal treatment I was given the drug Metronidazole + Potassium diclofenac. Can it be consumed together? Or is there any medicine that you don’t need to take? R nThank you
Hello deniiteza, Thank you for the question.
Demacolin is a trademark of medicine containing paracetamol, pseudoephedrine, and chlorpheniramine maleate (antihistamine) which functions to treat symptoms of nasal congestion, fever and headaches. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid golonga drug that works to treat inflammation. Metronidazole is a class of antibiotics that aims to treat infections and dicclofenac potassium is a pain reliever drug that also treats inflammation. You can take these drugs together. Alternatively, you can also delay the consumption of diclofenac potassium because paracetamol and dexamethasone are also useful as pain relievers and anti-inflammation. You can take diclofenac potassium if after taking demacolin you still feel pain. Don't forget to take this medicine after eating.
Hope this information is helpful.
