Is It Skincare That Contains Parabens?
I want to ask?? My skin is dry, and in my serum the ingredients of fragrance, methylparaben, butyl paraben, ethylparaben and propylparaben. Is it dangerous for my skin ??
The content of skincare is very diverse and each skin can show different reactions in each womb. In general, for fragrance, as long as you are not sensitive and allergic to fragrance, there is no problem. Of course the level of fragrance used has been through research and is still within safe limits for the skin. But if you are sensitive to fragrance (eg skin becomes reddish, dry, itchy, or even pimples occur), then you should look for skin that is non fragrance.
While paraben, paraben in skincare functions as a preservative. For parabens, of course, they have been carefully measured so that the levels are still within safe limits for the skin. But if your skin is sensitive, you should also look for non-paraben skincare. Indeed there is research on the effect of parabens as one of the causes of cancer, but the results of this study still require further research on a larger scale.
If you are worried, you can choose non-paraben skincare. If you use one that still contains parabens, it doesn't matter as long as it is used according to the instructions on the packaging, and make sure the skincare products are registered with BPOM. Special attention is given if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. For pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, you should first use skincare consult with a dermatologist.
Hope it helps you,
