1 Answer:

Thank you Tessar for your question to HealthReplies.com.

Spots on the genitals have several possible abnormalities, namely:

1. Condyloma acuminatum, namely genital warts, is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Warts in the form of rough spots, shaped like meat or chicken's comb, slightly reddish in color. Warts can be itchy or uncomfortable, and are difficult to go away on their own. To remove warts, therapy is needed to dry and exfoliate the warts, for example therapy with topical medications (Trichloroacetic Acid, podophyllotoxin), frozen surgery using liquid nitrogen (cryotherapy), electrosurgery using special tools (electrocauterization). Even though the warts are gone, the HPV infection is still present and cannot be cured.

2. Molluscum contagiosum, namely infection with the MCV virus (Molluscum Contagiosum Virus) which causes the appearance of reddish spots on the genitals, shaped like a dome with a hollow in the middle. This disease is also a sexually transmitted disease. Treatment that can be done is to squeeze and remove the contents of the reddish spots by health workers.

3. Condyloma lata, which are red spots on syphilis disease / king lion stage 2. Generally, these spots are accompanied by symptoms such as flu, fever / chills, cough, runny nose. Condyloma lata is preceded by painless genital sores a few weeks earlier that heal on their own.

4. Infection with scabies / bed bugs, and or genital hair lice. Complaints are generally spots accompanied by itching, especially at night. In scabies infection, usually people who live in the same house also suffer from the same thing. Meanwhile, in genital head lice infection, there are blood spots on the underwear.

Genital warts are different from infection with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) / AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). The HIV virus attacks the immune system so that sufferers are more susceptible to infectious diseases. The HIV virus can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, the use of shared needles, blood transfusions, through the breast milk of women with HIV, and from mothers with HIV to the fetus they contain. Considering that genital warts are sexually transmitted infections, free sex behavior / multiple sexual partners is not only at risk of transmitting warts, but also at risk of transmitting HIV.

We advise you to consult a dermatologist and venereal specialist so that the doctor can examine directly, then determine the cause and appropriate treatment. In addition, you should avoid sexual relations with people whose medical history you do not know, or you can use condoms to prevent disease transmission.

You can read the following articles about genital warts and HIV to add to your knowledge.

So our explanation, hopefully useful, thank you.
